Eileen Gallagher is managing director and co-owner of Shed Productions the company responsible for ITV's hit dramas Bad Girls and Footballers' Wives. Until recently she has also been the Chair of Pact, the trade body representing over 1000 independent television and film companies in the UK.

Eileen started her career as a journalist and in 1984 moved to Scottish Television where she rose from press officer to main board director responsible for the broadcasting business.

She joined Granada in1993 as managing director of broadcasting responsible for LWT and Granada. She represented the Granada Group on the ITV Broadcasting Board and was a board member of the Granada Media Group.

In 1998 Eileen left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur forming Shed Productions with her three colleagues Brian Park, Ann McManus and Maureen Chadwick, her business experience was instrumental in securing advantageous finance and distribution deals.
