Elaine was responsible for commissioning a live action adapation from Terry Pratchett's Discworld franchise for the first time. It was the highest rating non sports multi-channel commission ever securing an audience of over 2.5m. With its epic storytelling, stellar cast including Sir David Jason and award-winning off screen talent, the programme contributed to the changing the perception of the channel, positioning Sky One as the home of family event drama. It has earned the channel several awards including 2 BAFTAS. Now building on the success of the Discworld brand, Sky is developing further books and looking to increase its offering of high quality event drama. Colour of Magic airs on Sky One at Easter.

Elaine has also been responsible for three seasons of Dream Team and its spin off show Dream Team Retro; two seasons of Mile High; the second series of HEX and the animations Pumpkin Moon and 13th Kitten.

Originally an actor for ten years Elaine moved into television drama, cutting her teeth on long-running series including Crossroads and The Bill. After working in development, Elaine spent a year in Africa where she set up a returning drama series for Kenya Television Network which has been a huge success shown all over East Africa - and is now in its sixth season. When she returned she was asked to join Sky to executive produce Mile High and Dream Team and set up a development slate. In 2006 she was made Commissioning Editor for Drama and she set about creating a strategy for Sky One drama.
